Privacy Policy
The short version
- Your calendar data is stored on your device. We don't run user accounts and we don't keep a copy of your calendar on our servers.
- When you use an AI feature, the text or photo you submit is sent to our AI provider to process that request, and is not stored by us.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
- You can delete your data at any time. See How to delete your data.

AI features
Calo's AI features (event creation from text, voice or photos, prep notes and suggestions) are powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you use one, the content of that request is sent through our secure server proxy to Anthropic, processed, and the result is returned to your device. Requests are not linked to your name, e-mail or Google account. We do not store request content on our servers. Anthropic processes API data under its commercial terms and does not use it to train its models.
Google user data
Calo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar and Gmail data only to provide the features you turn on in Calo. We do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features, and we do not use it for advertising. No person at DeepSea reads your Google data.
Backups
If you turn on Google Drive backup (Premium), Calo saves an encrypted backup file to your own Google Drive. It is stored on Google's infrastructure under your account, and you can delete it from Google Drive at any time. You can also export your events as a JSON or .ics file and keep it wherever you like.
Subscriptions
Calo Premium is sold as monthly or yearly subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase through Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment. We receive only the information needed to confirm your purchase status. You can cancel a subscription at any time in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions.

How to delete your data
- Everything in the app: uninstall Calo, or go to Android Settings → Apps → Calo → Storage → Clear data. This permanently removes all events, habits and settings from your device.
- Google access: remove Calo's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Events already synced to Google Calendar stay in your Google Calendar until you delete them there.
- Drive backup: delete the Calo backup file from your Google Drive.
- Anything else: e-mail hello@deepseaapps.com and we will reply within 30 days. Because we don't keep user accounts or copies of your calendar, there is usually nothing stored on our side to delete.
Security
Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS. API keys for our AI and weather providers are kept on our server, not inside the app.
Children
Calo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or KVKK in Türkiye), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to its processing. Most of this you can do directly in the app. For anything else, write to hello@deepseaapps.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
